First one falls asleep, won't wake - trying to get it replaced
My son just bought one of these at our local Target (with his own money). When we got it home, we placed it in a fresh tank of water (small aquarium) w/nothing else in the tank. Right away the aquabot started swimming - my son was thrilled. Then afrer 3 minutes it shut off (as it should). So far, so good.
According to the instructions, tapping on the tank will wake it back up and it should start swimming again. Nope. No response at all. Light tap? Nothing. Firm tap? Nothing. In order to wake it up, I had to pull it from the tank, press the 2 buttons, place it back in - 3 minutes later, the cycle repeats.
Dying batteries? Nope, replace with brand new - same cycle: swims for 3 minutes, dead, pull from water, press buttons, swims for 3 minutes.
Headed back to Target to return - hope the replacement works better. Very disappointing - but at least my son gets to learn about customer service...and lack of quality control.
