Adventures of Lil’ Nature Babies: VOL. lll
SAMI THE SNOW LEOPARD
The wind blew across the frigid plain of the ice capped mountains in Central Asia and a young snow cub named Sami was curled up in a corner of the frosty peak. Winter was in full force and the snow thickened as Sami awoke from a blast of wind. A blizzard was rolling in across the northern tundra!
In a panic, Sami woke up Mother leopard who cried out to go outside to get food as soon as possible. Sami decided to try to help since, earlier in the week, mother had broken a leg during a hunt. The first thing Sami decided to do was organize a safe cover for their home so that the blizzard wouldn’t take over their cave. As long as Mother was safe Sami felt confident that they would survive the potentially harsh blizzard coming up ahead.
As Sami travelled along the ice to find food, there was a sound coming from the near distance. Thinking that the sound led to food, Sami ran speedily in the direction of the sound and came upon a strange looking cave with smoke coming from the top. Sami then saw a fire around back. Maybe there’s a feast! As soon as Sami managed to find food being cooked, strangers emerged from the cave and Sami quickly leaped towards the food and snatched it away. Sami was long gone before the strangers could catch up.
Sami ran along the rugged terrain and got back to Mother right before the blizzard hit and Sami told her about the adventure that just occurred. “SAMI! That was so dangerous! Don’t go to any strange caves again!” yelled Mother. Now Sami knew to avoid strange locations but curiosity still brought the question as to what those strangers actually were. Do you have an idea?
