Hey HEXBUG Fans and welcome to a special Fourth of July themed #HEXDIY where we show you how to make a nano rocket pack!
On July 4th, 1776 the United States of America took its baby steps into a new era with the signing of the Declaration of Independence! Today, thousands of people all over the USA celebrate this day with stunning fireworks demonstrations covering the night sky. This week we’ve created a rocket pack for your nano with an explosive personality! It’s a little safer than pyrotechnics but just as cool!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Color Printer with paper
- Scissors (Please check with your parents before using scissors)
- HEXBUG nano
*You can find most of these supplies at your local Target!
Step 1: Cut along the black line on the outside of the pieces labeled 1, 2, and 3
(Be sure to avoid cutting the line that connects 2 and 3)
Step 2: Grip the body of the rocket (2) at both ends and pull them towards each other, covering the white rectangle with the blue rectangle. Apply tape to the newly shaped cylinder roll to complete the body. Be sure to leave enough room for the rectangle shape pre-cut into the body of the rocket as this will secure your nano.
Step 3: Fold the Two corners of the nosepiece (1) together to create a cone shape. Apply tape once again to the inside of the cone to ensure that it doesn’t come undone.
Step 4: Place two pieces of tape on the inside of the body with half of the tape loose and available to stick to the inside of the cone finishing the rocket.
Step 5: Finally, place a piece of tape on the inside of the rocket covering the rectangular pre-cut area. Now press the taped over indentation attached to the rocket onto the top of your favorite color nano and watch it race around with boosted speed!!
