the hive really is a great toy. i got the hive about a week ago and now i can actually keep my nano collection somewhere!

Or better yet, use a microcontroller like the Basic Stamp, Propeller or the Arduino (or other chip) to control the spider. It doesn’t require any modification to the Spider or controller.

Step 1) Use the mirocontroller to read the IR codes (Forward, Back, Left & Right) for both channel A and B.

Step 2) Program the microcontroller (along with appropriate circuit) to control 2 spiders (or inchworms) at the same time!

Done it. Quite a fun project.

i got my first 2 yesterday and i got a glow in the dark track and a glow in the dark blue and white.i named the white one snowbot and the blue one skybot.they are so fun!! for christmas i hope to get the playground and battle bridge and some spirals!!!

I have not see the product in question. But how can you hope yo sue anyone who builds and sells toy bugs? After all, this is based on ideas from an MIT professor, is not it?

Hex bug nanos are so awesome!!!I got the glow in the dark track!!It’s soooooo cool!!The glow in the dark track came with glow in the dark nanos!!!! Can you guys make a hex grass hopper???
